Senior Manager, Ernst & Young Mr. Rene Enriquez is a Senior Manager in the Assurance and Advisory Business Services of Ernst & Young, Iselin, New Jersey Office. In his more than 30 years of public accounting experience, Mr. Enriquez has served many organizations in the private industry, government and nonprofit organizations in various professional roles. In addition to auditing and accounting, he is involved in providing financial advisory services to local governments in the areas of project financing, governmental budgeting, utility rate setting and privatization. He also contributed technical material in the development of certain accounting pronouncements issued by the Governmental Accounting Standards Board. Mr. Enriquez graduated cum laude from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines with a Bachelor of Science degree, major in Accounting. He took 13th place in the 1973 Philippine CPA licensure examinations. He worked at SGV & Co. in the Philippines upon graduation until he moved to the United States in 1984. He was a recipient of the AICPA Elijah Sells award for his academic performance in the November 1988 AICPA Uniform Examinations. Mr. Enriquez is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants and the National Asian American Society of Accountants. He is currently the president of the Association of Filipino American Accountants – New Jersey Chapter. He has also been a technical speaker on current accounting and auditing matters at the annual conventions of the National Council of Philippine American Canadian Accountants.
